Norman
Norman was born in London, England and when not trekking the mountains of the UK and Europe he lives most of the time in Sydney, Australia, He has many years of experience in leading trekking groups to remote and beautiful places. He has spent a number of summer and winter seasons in Scotland, Wales, the Pyrenees and outback Australia. Most recently he has been exploring the vast mountain ranges of the South Island of New Zealand. Norman was responsible for starting the first Hiking Club at the University of London and since then has gone on to lead a variety of expeditions. It was on an outback adventure in Australia that he first teamed up with his fellow Beyond Expeditions guide Jason. Both are accomplished and experienced trek leaders with a passion for the great outdoors and the raw beauty of remote mountain areas.

 

Jason
Originally from Adelaide, South Australia, Jason grew up in the bush land near Sydney, Australia. Since cadets at school, Jason spent a considerable time trekking outdoors and eventually worked as a tour guide, guiding for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. With a science degree in environmental management, Jason has spent a lot of his free time volunteering in the World Heritage listed areas of Australia and Canada, in order to restore natural and cultural heritage. Jason affirmed that education and interpretation is the key to achieving these goals and then expanded his role in National Parks to another local cultural icon, the Sydney Harbour Bridge. As an original guide for the world famous BridgeClimb Jason has perfected the art of guiding. His love of the outdoors, and enduring passion for remote mountain areas was shared by his fellow guide Norman, and it was whist on an expedition that he concept of Beyond Expeditions was first born. Jason has recently completed months of trekking in Scotland and Canada.
